Five years of Learning

This report shares how the 'A Better Start' (ABS) partnerships are improving childhood outcomes.

Published in April 2020 to coincide with the mid-point of the ten-year ABS programme, this report contains case studies on best practice from each of the five ABS partnerships.  It includes the approaches taken by the sites on how they are supporting three key childhood development outcomes:

• Diet and Nutrition
• Social and Emotional Development
• Language and Communication Skills

And the work that has been done on place-based systems change and championing parent and community-led services.
