SSBC Insight Report Coproduction
Within SSBC, coproduction has not only taken place in individual projects and initiatives but has been embedded in the wider organisational culture.
The importance of coproduction for the SSBC programme
Within SSBC, coproduction has not only taken place in individual projects and initiatives but has been embedded in the wider organisational culture. It was very important that we listened to the voices of local parents and families who have been represented by SSBC Parent Champions.
Parent Champions are local parents who are well connected to their local communities and understand the needs of local families with babies and young children. They have been involved with every aspect of the SSBC programme – from the initial ‘A Better Start’ funding application, setting up Small Steps Big Changes as Nottingham’s ‘A Better Start’ initiative, developing the name and logo of Small Steps Big Changes, the design and delivery of the programme’s services, and through to the evaluation of the programme.
